I have a quantity of eracasious compost that I no longer need. Is there
a way to alter it for general compost use please?

It's perfectly OK to use as normal compost without any additions.
'Normal' compost is much like ericaceous compost but with a bit of
added lime to make it alkaline, which ericaceous plants don't like. If
you really want to, add some garden centre 'lime' (which is actually
ground limestone, not lime in the old traditional sense, as GC's are
frightened by elfin safety regulations for handling such corrosive
stuff).
