  100 mph + in west  Scotland.It's a red-alert. Ferries bridges trains and
planes cancelled and all drivers warned to stay home.

At 7 am we were woken by  the whole house shuddering. I decided to go
downstairs in case the roof came off, and make breakfast in case the power
went off. As soon as I said the words the power went off. I went
downstairs and as soon as I'd got the candles out the power came back on..
so we had breakfast.

By daylight no damage to our house/garden but the neighbours have
suffered some roof damage, trees down, panes blown out of GH, and .. most
extraordinary.. their large-size calor gas canisters which were full, and
connected, blew away.

Yup, the whole of scotland looks no-go according to the severe weather
warnings on met office site.  Very colourful, though!

I got sent a photo of a trampoline (one of those big monstrosities for in
the garden) going tumbling through a garden in London.

The weather in Scotland /must/ be bad, it's made it into the news down here!
:-P

They tend not to live long here ;-)

Some years ago (in a much smaller storm) someone I know had one sail
across from three gardens away and crash in  through their patio doors.
