Suddenly, or so it seems, the garden has taken a leap forward in
flowering. Just a glance out of the window shows Inulas, Cephalaria,
Romneya crowding and jostling each other for space in one border alone.
This rain may be tiresome at times but the garden has loved it!

So has the allotment, however, whilst we thought it had been wet and our
rain barrel is now full again, digging up some of the last early spuds today
and the ground was quite dry.

Yes, it hasn't penetrated that deeply but enough to give things a
boost. We have lovely, bright, evening sunshine now, too.

Mine likewise. Rain always seems vastly more effective than mere
watering with a hose.

Gardening in West Cornwall overlooking the sea.
Mild, but very exposed to salt gales
