I have about 6 conifer trees in my garden that the previous owner
planted. They have been there approx 12yr and now the roots are so big
they are lifting the fences posts and my neighbours shed base. What
should i do with them? How much would it cost to have a treee surgeon
cut them all down?
Seperate question - How much is it for a general gardener to attend once
a month or few weeks to do tend to my lawn, apple tree, plum tree,
shrubs etc and to plant some nice flowers. I have a front and back
garden. Sorry but i don't have a clue about gardening and don't want to
be ripped off.
Thank you.

Your lawn will need attention at least once a week in summer. Having
someone come every few weeks will only work if you're prepared to do
some work in between.

We never mow ours more than once every fortnight and it seems fine to
me.

I should ask around locally to see if any of your neighbours have used a
tree surgeon. We have a nice young man locally who charges 15 pounds an
hour for tree surgery and 12.50 for garden work. Make sure that your
tree surgeon is properly licensed to use a chainsaw on your land.

Oh i don't know Kay, providing it was cut every two weeks and it's a
large lawn she will probably get away with it.
A small lawn may need more cutting purely because it looks tidier that
was the smaller it is.
