Hi All
After a good few weeks of waiting I have two strawberry shoots emerging from
their seeds. One is standing up from the soil but the other is laying on top
and looks to have no furry white base like the first. Is this ok or not?
Thank you

Well, you'll know by now ;-)
If it's laying down but otherwise OK it'll sort itself out, if it's
laying down and limp it's probably rotted off.
Don't expect every seed to germinate or every seedling to make it to
adulthood. And expect sometimes to find nothing at all germinates! It's
not necessarily you, it's just that sometimes you hit just the right
conditions, sometimes you don't.

Hi there, thank you for the reply... Yeah that seedling died, but got 6
seedlings out of 9 seeds so far so better than nothing. Will just have to
take runners off of the surviving plants later on in the season...
