Bit tongue in cheek but the predictions for later this week are a
startling contrast to today. We have a clear blue sky with just a hint
of clearing mist. It's obviously going to be very hot again. Last
night's mackerel sky made me wonder if it was going to be a weather
change today but not a bit of it. Yesterday I registered 25C on my
car's thermometer and the nursery registered 24C in the shade. Even if
it does cool right down, this has been a lovely bonus and what summer
should have been like!

Well, I did say 'tongue in cheek'. ;-) I doubt it will arrive in the
South Hams for a while, if at all. But it's certainly supposed to get
a lot colder so it does at least give us all a chance to start getting
plants inside that won't enjoy cold night temps.

The gale I forecast last week to coincide with our next crossing of
the North Sea this Friday was in the weather forecast at lunchtime.
The traditional halving of the current maximum temperature will also
take place.
