I didn't like it, either, though I drink both Assam tea in navvy
style and a variety of green and oolong teas in Chinese style.
You could be right about the chlorine - I notice it, but have had
to drink it for so long that it doesn't concern me. Of course,
burn water tastes MUCH better :-)

Yes. Water from a burn. Like a gill, beck, brook or bourn :-)

When we moved here we were so excited at the novelty of effortless,
reliable, copious mains water.. and mains water pressure :-) Until we
realised we're so close to the treatment plant you can smell the chlorine
when showering, let alone taste it :-( I bought a jug filter right away
for drinking/cooking water. Now we have an undersink one so filtered water
on tap. Filtered, it tastes fine even to drink neat.
