Many European cars have windscreen that are glued into place these
days. Takes thirty minutes to clean the old glue off. Never mind all
the trims and prising the old glass off etc.

Most European cars have the windscreens glued in theses days. It
takes more than half an hour to get the old screen out and scrape the
glue off.

they are ALL "glued" in. It takes about a half hour to remove, clean,
and replace a windSHIELD.

Many can be done in 30 minutes. Many take longer, some DO take an hour or 2.
And NOT all are glued in, in large trucks, at least, it's still pretty
common to use a zipper gasket.
