it was one of the usual UK suspects.


Vitis Brandt flourishes on my north-facing wall, and produces a lot of
small grapes. These are a bit on the sour side, but I'm sure they'd be
sweet in a sunny spot, and would probably improve if I snipped at
least half the bunches out. They make good jelly, though.

I'm considering putting a spare Siegerrebe grape at the other end of
the same wall, just to see what happens.

Further out, but still not remotely in full sun, I've got some black
and white currants. They're new this year, so I don't know how well
they'll fruit; but as woodland plants I imagine they'll be OK.
