war breaks out! And Monty Don tells a reader that Leonotis leonurus is
only available as seeds in UK. Utter garbage. we throw 3 varieties here
and I'm sure we're not alone! Maybe he should get out to visit a few
nurseries and gcs!

Didn't he say he hadn't been to a nursery or gc in 10 years? Istr
somebody mentioning that on here quite a while ago and if it is the
case, it shows why he's dropped this particular clanger. I don't see
how you can be a garden presenter and never go to the places that
supply plants to people who don't have the time or the facilities to
grow everything from seed or cuttings of everything they've already got
in their gardens! I'm afraid we've just about given up on GW - we
don't like the format, don't care for the style of presentation or
'teaching' and thought Toby Buckland was just hitting his stride when
the Beeb chucked him over. Big mistake, ioo.

Somebody did say that. That left us wondering where he gets all the
root bound plants in pots that he spends the programme planting.

We agree.
