In Horticulture Week, an article by Andrew Hewson, quotes him as saying
"How I yearn for television gardeners, only proper ones who smoke pipes
and double dig". His half page feature is a wonderful blow for common
sense and against pc-ness. With a bit of luck it will be online in a
few days at http://www.hortweek.com/

Real gardeners wear boots with steel toecaps and a steel midsole for digging
not those useless wellies the GCs sell.
