I'm looking for a good bright red single p. somniferum, without shades
of purple or pink in it. Can anyone recommend a variety?

I see nobody's replied. I've been sedulously removing the seed heads
from mine (unknown variety), but I'll happily leave some to ripen and
send you seed if you email me your address. I don't know how reliable
my colour vision is, though: it seems like a clear red to me, and
comes true every time from self-sowings, but I won't guarantee
satisfaction...

Thanks for that offer Mike. I've e-mailed my details to the Yahoo
address given in your message header.

The email's arrived: you should have my reply now. Just give them a
few days to ripen.

Still not ready: sorry. But it surely can't be long now...
