Don't know the centigrade temp but we went down to 20f over night and
were still at that temp at 8am here in the Swansea area.
I am worried about my tree dahlias as the frost in the week finally
finished the flowers so I still have to lift them, that's around 70
tubers to be lifted, just hope this frost hasn't got down to the
tubers.

were

'only' -4C here, very white lawn except under the canopy of the cedar
tree and ice on the ponds.  No sign of snow though - I really thought
we could be in for it yesterday pm but it's clear blue sky and sunshine
again this morning but my goodness it's cold!  -2C at present and
everything has that still look that it gets sometimes in the grip of
cold weather.
