What a poor article, sounds like someone who doesn't even own a pot
plant wrote it.
Sowing by the waxing moon and planting by the waning moon is a long
held belief.
If like me you believe there is most chance of frost around full moon
then sowing before it means the seeds come up with a longer growing
period before they may face frost, whilst planting after full moon
gives the planted things the longest chance to establish before the
chance of frost.
You don't hear much about digging/ cultivating your soil in the dark,
the idea being that it's the light hitting the weed seed that
stimulates them into growth, so no light, no germination.

I don't.
The only frost we have had this year wasn't at the time of the full
moon. Frost is related to time of year, location, cloud cover and wind
direction.

and the bit about Which? finding no difference between plants planted
normally and those planted according to lunar theories?
