It wasn't as bad as we thought it might be, though parts of the garden
were white this morning. The heating came on in one of the tunnels at
about 4pm yesterday when it was 1.3C, Ray tells me. Then the blasted
thing promptly broke down and a portable heater was carted in. I was
out when all this drama happened but as I drove home past Exeter
airport the roadside signs were telliing us that salting the roads had
started. I really feel for those people battling with several inches
of snow 'up north' but today is a bright blue, sunny day. Gorgeous!

Jeez, thick heavy frost here. Walking to school and back and my feet were
like ice. And I picked up the eggs Nick forgot to collect yesterday
(*sigh*) and they were just like carrying ice cubes in!

This global warming is a right nuisance, isn't it?

Bit frosty here on the Isle of Wight to start with. Had to break the ice on
the bird baths
Brilliant sunshine now :-))))
