Last night we saw a Kiftsgate type rambler going dozens of feet up into
some trees and cascading over a high wall, too.  BUT, it was palest
pink and had a faint but distinct scent.  The flowers were in little
clusters like Kiftsgate and it was certainly as vigorous.  It's not one
I've seen before. It's in the garden of a house next to the car park of
The Abbey Inn in Buckfast, Devon, if anyone happens to know the area.
Does anyone know which it might be?

I think it was more pink than cream.  I'll have to go back and take a
pic of it!

I spelt it wrong anyway! it Toby Tristram and the buds are pink and the
flowers are a delicate pale pink single and nicely scented, normally I would
have said this was too early for it but this year the first flowers on mine
are open already

I did find it under the correct spelling and I don't think the pic I
saw was pink enough but the answer will (I hope) be my afternoon trip
to take a photo!  Thanks, Charlie.
