Hi,

I need to replace a piece of 2.4 metre wide shading that is slotted at
the sides (UV attacked!), and it does not seem to be made here any more.
I noticed that 2.4 imperial widths are still made in the US (and
China) but cannot find any for sale in the UK.

Will I have to buy 3 metre and sew it together or does someone have a
distributor of the old widths?

Surely there is still a need,  we do not all have metric greenhouses!

Thanks

Peter H

peter@hemmings.eclipse.co.uk says...

Struggling a bit with what you are actually after 2.4M or 8' ?
8foot wide is not made and the standard widths now are .9M, 1M, 1.2M 1.5M
1.8M, 2M, and 3M Lots of people sell it   www.lbs-group.co.uk being one
of them but they will make sheets any size to order.

Most greenhouses are imperial units the panes of glass being 2' wide by
either 2' or 18" they just tell you what they are in millimeters! 610 and
458 respectively

2.4M seems to be the actual shading width that Iam replacing.

OK but my shading has the reinforced slots at each where I thread some
curtain wire (so I can raise it up and down quickly when required.

OK but I still have the same problem!

I could order from the US or China but quantities/costs are excessive.

Maybe I can have some thicker shading made up that could withstand the
curtain wire!?
