In the corner of my front yard I've got this big plant/bush thing
growing.

It once had purple lavender looking things on the end, but I've trimmed
it right down and want to get rid of it completely.

Some people have mentioned just pouring bleach on it. I'm yet to try
anything and was wondering what the best plan of attack is.

If you look closely you will see some of the roots have buried under the
edge of the concrete along the side of the wall pulling it away, I'm not
sure how far its gone in other directions so just want it killing
somehow :)

Thanks for reading,
Hope someone is able to give me some advice.

Looks like it was a Buddleja! treat the leaves to a dose of weed killer,
once you have killed it just cut it right down

You've got quite a selection there! The big thing is a buddleia. Then
the leaf at ground level with the little leaflets is an ash, and the big
green leaves in the corner are sycamores. The ash and the sycamore will
grow into big trees, so you need to pull put those seedlings straight
away.

As to the buddleia - do you want to kill it or do you want to get rid of
the roots? The latter is going to be quite difficult to do. Sawing it to
ground level and waiting for the roots to rot might be your only
action.

You need in anycase to get some weedkiller or brushkiller to kill it.
Cutting off all green leaves as soon as they appear would do for it
eventually, over 2-3 years, but buddleias do have quite a tenacious hold
on life.

Go to your local allotment holder association.  Buy some Ammonium
Sulphamate (AKA Rootout) because you want to use it as a compost
accellerator.  Cut down the buddlia and put the crystals on the freshly
cur surface, then cover with plastic to prevent them being washed away.
  Result - dead buddlia roots.

I've seen Root Out for sale as Root Out with a warning that it can't
be used to kill roots any more but only as a compost accelerator. The
RHS claims it kills honey fungus but the manufacturers don't support
that claim.
