Just seen one on the tea room lawn. They are massive birds when seen close up!

Locally there are around 50 living in a tree on the other side of a
canal to a place that smokes fish and eels. You can guess where the
scraps go :-)

Watch out for your tasty carp.

I put over 80 Goldfish in my daughter and son in law's pond last year from
my neighbour's pond.

None escaped the Herons :-((

The pond walls have been rebuilt recently and the pond drained. Didn't have
to rescue any Goldfish :-((

I'm an Angel, honest ! The horns are there just to keep the halo straight.

It's the second time in a week that we've seen him, so he's probably
been calling quite often! The River Dart isn't far away as the heron
flies but perhaps it's too high atm for good fishing.

They are massive birds regardless of where seen from.
