Our grapes are already ripe. Despite the awful summer, this year we
have better grapes than we have had for a long time.

We've been nibbling at the grapes for a while. Black are better than white,
but they are all doing well. I think we watered a lot better this year,
which has helped.

We didn't need to water.

Ours grow up the kitchen wall, from big pots, so they don't tend to get much
direct rain onto them, and they can't go down through the concrete to seek
it out themselves.
They are doing an awful lot better than 5 years ago when I put alpine
strawberries in the pots with them, and we ended up with a huge infestation
of vine weevil!

Ours are at the south facing front of our house.
