Yes, it's become a pleasant programme to watch once more. Certainly a lot
more gardening information coming across. They seem to have cut out the
celebrity rubbish thank goodness.
Is it me or does anyone else think they have been watching Percy's
programmes, and that is no criticism, quite the contrary, I still think he
was the best. You modern lot wouldn't like him but in those days everyone
wore a collar and tie, and you had to speak nicely to get on the box. His
knowledge was good and he could impart it.
I don't think two programmes, one for flowers and one for veg would be
possible or advisable. Myself I grow both, love growing both, see no
difference between them at all. On another thread I've mentioned how
beautiful Kale can be and certainly a row of well grown Savoys is a joy to
behold. On the other hand I've seen some naff flowers. (still don't get
grass in the borders, it's something you hoe, strim, cut, poison)
