What a load of utter nonsense from Monty Don about Leonotis leonurus.
He can't grow it so it's not a good plant. Ours are 4' tall in the
garden and 8' tall in the greenhouses! It grows just beautifully in
many parts of UK.  Misleading an entire nation of gardeners because
something doesn't do well in his garden does nobody a service, least of
all GW which appears to be losing its audience in droves.  I'm really
really annoyed at this piece of rubbish 'garden information'.  Bring
back Toby Buckland, we say!

But this time let him have more control over what he says and how he
presents it!

I don't think that's likely to happen but it should because it's the
presenter who knows the subject best, not the producers.  They're still
not showing plant names onscreen and gardeners want to know that! I
know it's a small point but it's a very important one. We feel that
there's still too much about the presenters and their faces than their
hands and the plants!

I don't know what all this fuss is about, GW has yet to be broadcast
here in Wales as Rugby takes precidence to almost any thing else, they
will be showing it tonight at the same as Strictly Come Dancing, so
that's it up the spout.
And before any one says anything ............... NO I'm not going to
watch it online.
It's the same with Autumn Watch, I don't know about the rest of the UK
but here in Wales we had it starting at 9.30pm last night, What is a
good prog. for children to watch was much to late, and Autumnwatch
Unsprung started at 11pm.
So stop this winging, at least you had the programme.
