Our usual advice to customers is not to put out hanging baskets until
mid-May. Of course, if frosts are still hanging around, it would have
to be even later.

I always work on the belief that the last frost can be 3 days either
side of the last full moon in May, and the first frost can be 3 days
either side of the first full moon in Sept.
Full moon, clear sky and watch out.

Full moon varies by three weeks. Temperatures are more related to the sun than
what the moon does.

We have had frosts every morning for weeks now , getting sick of the sight
of them !
It has been a long hard winter ,but we needed it .
