By our standards, not others, I'm sure. It went to -2C and we have a
white world today but a bright blue and sunny one, too. The temp is
supposed to go up but then become colder over the week end. Oh joy! ;-(

It went down to -8C in Zuid Holland last night. ATM it is zero. Things
are still white from the snowfall a week ago.

Our snow from a week ago has transformed into ice now. It is so cold
even the icicles are shivering.

Local hospitals are overwhelmed with people with broken limbs and
worse resulting from skating accidents. A whole family died in a car
that went into a water filled ditch after a collision. On a local TV
cable channel, I saw a woman fall through the ice whilst she was being
shown skating ... on thin ice. The brother of a winner of the Tour de
France, Zoetermelk, fell through the ice and died at the weekend.

Lovely expression! :~)
It's chilly (1c) here, still some snow lying, but it's bright and sunny.
