I'm going to put one of these into the garden but am struggling a bit
with where to plant it.  We sell it but have never grown it ourselves
in our own garden.  Is anyone else growing this and if so, what sort of
location does it seem to prefer? And how hardy?  I have one corner of
the garden in mind but it tends to get frosty there.

Hi Sacha,

It's fully hardy, so no worries there.  I love it for the late flowering
and terrific scent; rivals philadelphus as the best in our garden.

The only inconvenience is it looks awful in winter, really sad, so I'd
put it someplace where it will hide a little.

Mine is in almost full shade but I've seen it in full sun also.

cheers,

Thanks Emery, that's very helpful and now I think I know where it's
going to go!
