Does anyone know whether the Coronation Camellia is obtainable in the
UK please?  Or, indeed, any information about the cultivar?

I had this from a Garden centre/nursery 30 years ago, but regretably
lost it in a prolonged sharp frost whilst it was still in the pot.  It
was a splendid large white double peony.  Previous enquiries of
camellia growers indicate that it was very difficult to propogate.

TIA

It's a camellia japonica variety, one of the parents of c. x Howard
Asper, (the other being c. reticulata Lionhead), but other than that,
nothing. Plantfinder doesn't bring it up. You might try contacting
James Trehane and Sons, in Wimborne, Dorset. They're specialist
camellia growers. Don't know if they have a website.

Or look at the Gardeners World website they featured a place in Cornwall
that held the National Camelia Collection...
