I've just had an email from an Aussie friend who spent Christmas in
North Queensland. One of her photos, taken in a rainforest, is of a
plant called Big Wet Kiss. Apparently, its real name is Costus scaber.
I prefer the other name. ;-)

One Ozzy site says it will survive down to -10°C . An addition to your

Thanks, Jake. I think that spiral one is very pretty but I doubt it's
one we'd have a lot of demand for. That said, a lot of people on that
forum have bought stuff from us in the past. I imagine its worst enemy
here - in terms of growing outdoors - would be wet roots in winter.
