Solid, ceaseless, heavy rain most of yesterday, all of last night and
again this morning. The dogs had to be forced out of the door!

We had an enormous thunderstorm this morning. There was torrential
rain lasting a couple of hours.

We were supposed to get lots of rain yesterday - but I think it
stopped over Dave's place at the other end of they bay. So far today,
high white cloud but no sign of precipitation. Though had the central
heating serviced today and the chap mentioned that the temperature in
every room is lower than the setting on the radiator thermostats - I
thought it felt a little chilly!
I've been hearing rumours that we're going to have a fine, sunny
September. So make the most of the rain (if you're lucky enough to get
it) while you can.
Cheers
Jake

It is going to be a BBQ December ...
... in the Antipodes.

Well, it's very slightly brighter here and the rain has stopped, thank
goodness. I'm looking at our weathervane which is as steady as a
rock, not a breath of wind anywhere. And speaking of which I am fond
of our vane which I bought for Ray for a present years ago. It shows a
woman carrying a tray of tea to a man in a greenhouse and there's a
watering can beside a Jack Russell sitting in a wheelbarrow!! It
amuses a lot of people. ;-)
