We have quite a large garden, with a lot of hedges, and areas that are
constantly invaded by brambles. We are thinking of getting a shredder,
obviously needs to be fairly powerful and able to cope with some woody
branches, etc., but also needs to last more than one or two seasons.
Storage space is not a problem.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

If you buy a Bosch 2200 you could use it any time they are very quiet!
brilliant machine, copes with our 1 acre quite happily, had it 3 years now
and no sign of deterioration in performance - and no I don't have shares nor
do we sell them!!

I corroborate that about the Bosch 2200. It's a great machine ... copes
with most tasks.
