g'day bob, as far as i know the answer is no! if yo go to an organic food shop and buy some raw ginger corms then plant them you will have a never ending supply of it. i would suggest you look for gal-n-gal, it is the indonesian version of ginger for me the same taste, but then taste might depend on growing conditions? at least - 3

thanks farmi, i only have a small garden - i suppose it is called a courtyard these days, so i won't put any kind of bamboo in there. would love to know more about this ginger meggs plant i saw. looks pretty. katherine - 1

kylie, with those plants that wher dormant in winter they where covered conmpletely ie.,. the ginger as there was no top growth left. but with growing stuff like pumpkins and pawpaw i covered with enough of a loose layer to create a barrier of warmer air, this with heavily mulched root runs which kept the root runs warmer all helped. - 1

back to 80kg. now i am aware of what i eat. i avoid potatoes, bread in the evenings. i do have sweets from time to time, but only as a special treat. hot tea and ginger biscuits are my bane. i just realized that its a bad habit to - on a daily basis - eat a pack of chips or the crap they serve at fast food joints. it might - 1
