hi i am in raleigh. i have fescue grass. what i am seeing is tall (6"-1 ") thin stalks with seed heads on top about evenly distributed through out the yard in between normal fescue grass. the lawn service person said this is normal fescue seedheads that is growing rapidly due to the inflox in temperature and that when we get - 4
bermuda is invading my fescue lawn. what herbicide will kill bermuda but leave fescue alone? thanks - 3
have just tilled and prepped my back yard in preparation for seeding w/a heat resistant fescue but am having second thoughts and am thinking zoysia might be a better choice for my climate. but i've learned that zoysia takes a while to establish. can i plant zoysia from seed now, or is it too late? what about sod? now that my lawn - 3
present... as for seed mix, i'm expecting to go for the following mix: 0% sauvignon perennial ryegrass 35% margarita perennial ryegrass 0% herald strong creeping red fescue 10% darwin chewings fescue 10% reggae slender creeping red fescue 5% highland browntop bent as for the leaf blower, i actually have a stihl one which has proved excellent - 3
it isn't the grass, it is the pollen. we have a dog that has terrible allergy problems. after allergy tests ($$), it was determined that fescue and bermuda pollen are two of her biggest sensitivities. not much you can do to eliminate the problem, given that airborne grass pollen travels a long way. so, to answer your question... - 2

my yard is being infested by bermuda grass. i have fescue grass and zoysia that is being attacked by bermuda grass. i also have the bermuda grass growing in my flower beds. i don't know how to get rid of it. i've heard of something called "ornamec" but have not been able to find it locally. anyone have any advice/experience - 2

with indigenous rocks, and tufty grass. what i really like is poa-type grass, snowgrass being the best, but shopping in teh rain today, best prospect i found was some blue fescue stuff. had been idly thinking of mondo, although it's not really my thing, but lady at the nursery said it's more of a watering grass. so i'm back with - 2
