Im looking for an electric rotary mower for a small (50m2) lawn which
will give
the best striped finish. Any recommendations?
So far the i've found the Bosh Rotax 40 and the Flymo Multimo 360 XC.
They both
have rollers but are they any good at giving a striped
finish.
Is an electric mower even heavy enough to get a striped finish even if
it has a
roller? I guess i could weight it down somehow?
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Any rotary mower, even with a roller, will not give a real striped finish
because the rotary blade cuts multiple directions as it turns and the roller
will only press the grass down slightly so the effect will only last a short
time until the grass stands up by itself.
A reel mower cuts the grass only one way with a scissor action that creates
the striped finish that lasts for much longer than you can achieve with a
simple roller on the mower.
