im laying turf down in my garden but not sure whether to lay the paving
slabs before or after the tuf is layed? if i lay the slabs down on top
of the turf do you think they will sink, killing the grass underneath
and be level? or cut around the slabs laying down a sand base then
laying the slabs??

Put down the slabs first with a good sand base. Level and compact the
sand. If you put the slabs on top of the sod, the sod will compact
unevenly. Besides, you'll be paying for too much sod.
