Hi, i brought a felix jury magnolia last september, it had started to
bud up and inside looks like two small leaves, one had started to come
out of the bud and looks very limp and dry on the ends. is this normal?
i have this plant in the kitchen to over winter it.what is the best
thing to be doing with this plant now should i lighty mist these small
leaves to stop them drying out? also should i use ericaceous plant feed
now it has started to bud?. also how long is it till these sort of
magnolias flower? as its 4ft now. thanks for any info on this plant.

The best thing is to get it into the ground as soon as possible.  But
now you've had it indoors, you'd better not put it out until the warmer
weather later in the spring, because it won't be hardened off.

If its going to flower this year, it will already have flower buds.
They look bigger and fatter than the leaf buds. If not, how long till it
flowers? Who can say, it depends on so many things. Hybrids are usually
not as bad as the species which can take decades.
