Fuchsia. Probably a hybrid, there are thousands. If so, there won't
be a scientific name.

Absolutely!
The common and scientific name are the same.
The genus is named after Leonhart Fuchs (1501-1566), a German herbalist and
physician, and should be prononced "Fooks - ee- ah" not "Few - sha".
