Nice to be wondered about...... Been more than a little busy fighting the
tangled web of the city parks' dept. Trying to save the trees and the
grounds in a drought at the park where I volunteer, while some long hidden
politics are slowly revealing their nasty underbelly. And, real work is
trying to kill me, although I should be thankful for working, when so many
aren't. And, composing and typing anything beyond what's needed to put out
the brushfires
Timely article...... Struggling against the machine is something I had to
re-learn has limited possibilities for fulfillment. Those on the other side
are quite good at beating the social responsibility right out of you and
that village somewhere else is mighty appealing........... But then, some
important things wouldn't get done, so it continues........
BTW, planted Fall tomatoes in pots in leaf mold/compost/cheap manure in
Aug. Hardly remembered to keep them watered and didn't feed them. Dragged
them into the greenhouse in Nov and they didn't start ripening until Dec.
The things are still going. A little more attention and more pots and I
could have kept the neighbours in tomatoes all Winter.
I'm doing front yard peppers this Spring, and anybody can pick what they
want.

It's so very nice to connect with you, out here in the ether. I think
about you everytime compost is mentioned or made or used. :-) I've
always enjoyed your posts and your commensensical, minimalistic
approach to compost and soil health and life.
... we seem to be on a similar plane with some issues that plague us
and interest us. Like it once was said, we gotta keep on keepin' on
and all that stuff, though it is so disheartening at times.
Pop in once in a while, OK?
