Nano foods may go GM way due to lack of awareness: UK FSA
Tuesday, April 26, 2011 08:00 IST
Manufacturers risk new nanotechnology-based food products being
rejected in a similar way to genetically-modified (GM) foods, unless
they start engaging with consumers over their perceptions of the risks
involved, a new Food Standards Agency (FSA) commissioned study has
warned, according to the foodmanufacture portal of the UK.

Modified food need labels
Monsanto is reported to have used ingredients such as Roundup, soil
bacteria and E-coli injected into the cell structure of common seeds
with little research for the safety of genetically modified foods
(www.sourcewatch.org). Congress has passed legislation to allow no
labeling of genetically modified foods. Without labeling, we have no
choice in our purchasing, and Monsanto has no responsibility if there
are health consequences. Monsanto has reason to cheer that
legislation, but who is protecting the consumer?

Sebelius-backed biotech firm reorganizing under criminal probe
KBA (Kansas Bioscience Authority ) urged Homeland Security to locate
bioweapons lab in Tornado Alley.
The head of Health and Human Services not only denies that Americans
have a right to bodily health and food of their choice, but Kathleen
Sebelius is hell bent on spending taxpayer money to promote
genetically modified food and drugs. One of her projects, Kansas
Bioscience Authority, a publicly funded venture enterprise developed
to promote biotechnology, is currently under criminal investigation.
CEO Tom Thornton has resigned.

Is agriculture the next big investment thing?
As the world's population expands, China switches from rice to meat, and
biofuel growth looks set to rocket, City experts think agriculture is
the best place to make money in the next decade.
Hedge funds, with billions of pounds in assets, are recklessly gambling
on food prices, with speculators driving massive price volatility that
threatens the most vulnerable people on the planet.

These are the same speculators that are responsible for driving up oil
prices.

It's just that it's not in your hands. It has been transferred, in the
