Hi all

We have a lovely honeysuckle plant that was planted a couple of years
ago. It was planted with a metal teepee to allow it to climb. The only
problem is now it has outgrown the teepee.

Do these plants react well of they are moved.

Any other ideas of how to get the best out of the plant, i was thinking
about possibly leaving it where it is and contructing some sort or arch
to train it over.

Any advice welcome.

I do not know whether this site will have the answer but they do have an
extensive range of gardening information that may help you.

Me again (clicked send by accident ) Ok, firstly, yes, it can be moved
but not at the moment, you will need to wait until end of Oct.

Its quite possible to keep it within the 'teepee' proportions by
cutting it right back every March, cut it hard back to the shape of the
teepee and that will ensure that new growth comes from lower down as
well, also as the new shoots grow, wind them around the teepee and then
after the first flush of flowers, you can cut it back a bit more, which
might encourage a second flower flush (depending on the variety)

Thanks for the response.

No have not pruned it. I will take your advice and leave it until March
then cut back to the teepee shape.

Thank you for the advice
