Wonder if someone can answer a couple questions regarding this photo:

What type of pine tree?
Are these the male cones?

needles per cluster, what length & what part of the
country/world are you in?


 those are pollen cones, yes. soon everything around will be
covered in yellow dust.

And, the location is northern Alabama, just south of the Tennessee
