New garden (shambles really) my lady wants lots of cheap compost and peat
and recalls seeing offers in Supermarkets around this time of year. BOGOFF,
3 for 2 etc.
Does anybody in this NG know of such offers currently in East Kent. Margate
area specifically. I've yet to find any this year so maybe they have gone
out of fashion.
TIA

If you need LOTS then it might be worthwhile finding a local mushroom
farm and buying spent mushroom compost from them. Last time I bought
some it was £70 ish for two tons including delivery. It can be a bit too
alkaline for some plants though.
Another possibility is your local authority if they collect and compost
green waste.

The stables round the corner from me has all the well rotted manure you can
eat !
They are glad to see the back of it and don't charge a penny, allthough I
have to go round there and bag it all myself, of course. It is excellent for
bulking up the soil, maybe you should try your local stables/riding centre.
