Long handled sickle. Name?

 A few years ago I borrowed a tool from a colleague.    It was like a sickle
with a ? shaped blade but a very long handle about 4 ft (1.3m) long.
It was super for clearing brambles from a safe distance!    I could cut a
cube out then drag them out.  I thought it was called a billhook but they
have blades which are straighter and short handles.
Can anyone tell me the name of this tool and a supplier as I'd like to buy
one?

Scythe?  But that is a more precise tool and scythe cutters would put
wedges under one heel to get the right cutting height or angle.

Thanks Richard.  I thought you might like an update.  I've still drawn a
blank on naming the tool and I think that perhaps it was simply a sickle
with a long handle fitted by an enterprising farmer.  My modern solution to
chopping out cubes of brambles was to cut them with a hedge trimmer.
