Any positive experience of this shrub or tree in leaf doing well in outdoors
locations ?
It seems that no amount of English winter cold and damp bothers it; but that
daily local temperatures well above 20 C are needed before it will put forth
any buds ?
I was used to the fig and mulberry trees in the garden being late to put on
leaves, but Albizia Julibrissin Rosea here is amazingly slow. Looks like
being at least July before the buds develop into leaves ........ and then
October it's back to bare sticks again until the next summer.
The one in the RHS Wisley walled garden looked ( and smelled ) so marvellous
last August, but I don't know of any other good example. Is it
'julibrissin' because it only really wakes up in July ?
