inflicts little-to-no advertising on casual visitors?

Your own personal web site with your own domain name.
Comcast provides web sites at no extra cost.
Does earthlink provide web space at no extra cost?

Good for learning html, css, Java, php...
Good for posting photos that inflicts no advertising.
Just google "web host providers" and pick one :)

I use www.flickr.com and have not noticed an abundance of adverts. You do
need a yahoo account but this is free.
