so the Blue Lake's gave me a harvest a few weeks ago, and now they're
putting out flowers again.  Can I expect to get another harvest before
winter?
Is it too late to start a pot with some seeds?
I'm a first-timer with bush beans.

Chicagoland, Zone 5

thank you!

Looks like it will, what with the new flowers.

Probably too late to start bush beans.

On the other hand, just right for starting some lettuce or bok choi for
fall harvest.

I have some containers of kale, that are doing nicely, and half a
container of mesclun lettuce.  I'll be sowing some seeds into the other
half in another week or two.  The lettuce sprouts in a few days!

thanks for the tips.  Next year, more beans!  I liked them, but I only got
about a dozen beans in my first harvest!

I like the idea of the sequential sowing.  I have a very small bit of a
sunny spot, so I need to use containers, and I actually move them around a
bit as the season progresses.  Pole beans would be a challenge...

I'll make notes for next year, thanks.
