So don't apply for alicence,
grow it in the back yard where no ne can see it,
tell the neighbours that you thought it was some funny name,
you grew it for the pretty flowers, and
you just haven't gotten around to pulling it out.
AFAIK, there is no longer any licensed growers of tobacco in Australia. I
was told that they were all brought out and paid off by the ATO &
Big Tobacco a couple of years ago and the tobacco inspectors now have
desk jobs.

Why grow stuff to kill yourself.
Indians in America certainly werent the brightest bunch, and neither
was columbus introducing lung cancer into europe.
Ah well such is our (in)human race.
Anything to get a kick, with death in the sidelines.

Also useful as organic spray for pests.
The really bad part of cigarettes is all the chemical treatments applied.
