Good Afternoon Reader,
"FarmI" requested "perhaps you can start by saying what are
you doing in the garden? "
The thrust of that request is so broad as to lose all relationship to
topic, totally non-specific even. A true comic could extract hours of
mirth from such a 'request'.
However.
Using "garden" to mean "aus.gardens" the answer has to be, "use a
search engine" or "read my offerings". What I have posted is no
mystery, being very specific in nature.
Or.
Using "garden" to mean "you show me yours and I will show you mine",
treads the path of "dick slapping".
Am atmosphere that is somewhat rank, by nature of the beast.

Contemporary Usenet is rainbow of attitudes. ideals and cultural
persuasions. From lurking for some time I was of the opinion
aus.gardens might reflect a little of the spirit touted by that
likeable Pom - Peter Cundall [ret].
As disheartening as it is to see the welcome trotted out for new
(different) approaches to topic, I will attempt one last effort in
accommodating one long term member's thrust at urging Topic.

Therefore I propose members indicate the climate they garden in
together with some indication of focus by Gardeners choice.

We enjoy a sub-tropical bordering on Mediterranean season of change,
with some risk of frost largely avoided by the elevation. Frosts do
occur regularly in the Valley below. Spring for us began two weeks
ago.
Content of our gardens is vast, ranging from the Bromeliads DM
collects coin of the realm from - for the viewing of - to my humble
trellised summer tomatoes. Our prime activity is the centerpiece of
our lands but as that is Off Topic, and covered in another Group, I
leave that be.

Next?

...snip more arrogant self-indulgent crap....

If you have nothing to say about gardens or growing stop wasting our time
with adolescent cleverness.  Your constant attempts at one-upmanship are not
impressive.

There is plenty to say I have contributed in this way.
There is also plenty being said by "FarmI" , and now you,
that has _nothing_ to do with gardens or growing .
What I see is just two brats who choose to dish it out yet
cannot wear the responses. That is a defeated bully talking
at your keyboard.
You live with it and post on topic.

Oh you are impressed alright, enough to puff your miserly
shirt-front and pass a fart :-D

Interesting is the choice to attack my posting and ignore the
absolute drivel of "Jonno"- "Jon" plus whatever names that
idiot has foxed this group with. Stick to what the Group is
about and leave the schoolyard antics to those who are
enabled to deal with such silliness.

Next please.

And pathetically desperate to seek attention too.

The dozy clown has changed its addy very slightly at least twice since
yesterday when I dropped it into my Bozo bin.  Confirmation if ever it was
needed that it's a true troll.

From the towering intellectual content of the posts, and the amazing
command of an extensive vocabulary, executed so
well, one is tempted to ask how hard it is to garden amongst
those piles of empty lager cans on the trailer park.
