The trees and shrubs are all shooting, wisteria buds are opening and a north
wind produced the first hot day.

Maybe spring is here?

We feast on asparagus daily and the artichokes are budding, next week they
too will begin to lay down their greeny-purple little lives for the greater
good.

Yippeeee spring IS here!

On Thu, 18 Sep 2008 13:50:01 +1000,when reading "aus.gardens", I'm
saying:

Spring is now certainly here, but so far I've failed miserably to take
advantage of it.

In Victoria I used to safely plant tomatoes during the last two weeks of
August at a time when the grass suddenly started growing and needed
cutting at least fortnightly.

Our dams are currently holding less water than at this time last year.
I am contemplating buying a Eureka Lemon tree and because of a possible
lack of water thinking to plant it in a very large pot in a sunny area
under a fibreglass roof where I can easily maintain it with limited
water.

Good for you David, I've put all my long underwear in the back wardrobe
not to to be seen until June/July 2009.
