Lemon in a pot

 

Hi,

A friend is wanting to contain a lemon in a pot.

Space is limited, so he is looking for the following:

1. min. size pot
2. variety of lemon

There is a new dwarf Meyer lemon out - Lots a Lemons - which would be a
good one for a pot. I haven't tried it myself, and couldn't tell you what
size pot, but your friend may like to check it out. There's a little about

G'day

The Meyer (Lots a Lemons) sounds a great idea but Meyers don't thicken
Cheesecake filling when using a tin of condensed milk.....I'm assuming
the dwarf variety would be the same?

I reckon you could keep a Eureka (Lisbon) lemon going quite nicely in
one of those big plastic nursery pots, provided you watered it
appropriately (good, deep mulch would help) and fed it occasionally.
Mine is a very pretty specimen tree and lives happily beside my ginkgo,
which has also been neglected shamefully in its pot!
