Sirs/Madams
My two fig trees have developed small barnacle-
like spots on their leaves. I tried a copper sulphate/ lime mix on
the trunks last year. It seemed to work but they're back again. The
fruit were OK last year but it looks pretty disgusting. What do I
need to do before spring arrives? Your guidance is much appreciated.
I don't want anything else ( spam!!!) thanks.

Sounds like scale which you can hit with white oil. You might want to look
if ants are a problem too.
Around here the figs have lost their leaves in there annual drop. Where are
you to have leaves on your fig now?
