Many tree problems are associated with the following: They are Case
Sensitive.
Unhealthy Trees from the Nursery / Improper Planting

Improper Mulching -

Improper Pruning

Improper Fertilization (See A Touch of Chemistry)

Tree Farming and Related Problems

Troubles in the Rhizosphere

For lucid information on the care of trees and their associates I would most
highly recommend www.shigoandtrees.com . Dr Shigo taught A NEW TREE BIOLOGY
worldwide. His stuff was translated in, but not limited to, Spanish,
German, Japanese, Italian, etc. It was common for him to be dissecting
trees in, but not limited to, Australia, Germany, Spain, Italy and of course
USA which I attended and dissected trees more than most people, not as much
as some. I recommend this site for your tree care requirements.
Sincerely,
John A. Keslick, Jr.
Consulting Tree Biologist
http://home.ccil.org/~treeman
and www.treedictionary.com
Beware of so-called tree experts who do not understand tree biology.
Storms, fires, floods, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions keep reminding us
that we are not the boss.
Some people will buy products they do not understand and not buy books that
will give them understanding.

um, Billy? this is NOT a definition of autism &, as an
autistic person, i'm a little insulted by this.
Keslik may be nuts, but he's not likely autistic.

Sorry Lee, I'm just working with the tools that society has
given me. At first blush, you must admit that down to the bullet
it sounds like our friend John. I agree that none of the above
describes your behavior. I presume that a real definition of
autism would fill a library but I (like that other famous Bill)
can only use the definitions that the dictionary gives me.
Autism Is a pervasive developmental disability (PDD) that is
usually diagnosed within the first three years of life. The major
areas of development impacted are the childıs ability to
communicate, and acquire social skills.

Being closer to the issue, do you have a more relevant definition?

it's this part: " a mental condition in
>> > which fantasy dominates over reality, as a symptom of
>> > schizophrenia and other disorders. " that i object to. i
don't know any austistics, child or adult, that have fantasy
dominating reality issues. autistics generally *can't*
pretend. we're hyper-realistic, overly logical, non-emotional.
we don't *get* playing pretend.
that whole phrase might pertain to schizophrenics, but not to
autistics at all.

yup. at least for some on the spectrum. then there are the
asperger types... they can talk the bark off a tree, if the
topic interests them.
my son was a non-talker, but his was due to apraxia of
speech, not the autism. he's pretty aspie, really.

try taking a look around this site:
http://www.wrongplanet.net/
between the radiation, 3 weeks of rain & trying to get my
house organized, i'm too wiped to be coherent right now. it's
a look at autism from the inside, what bothers us, what we
think.

Lee, get some rest. This discussion can wait, if it need
be had at all. I'm sorry that I disturbed you, I was just trying
to get John's attention because he manifestly displays classic
symptoms of autism. You on the other hand can banter, which must
be freakin' rare for someone with autism or Asperger syndrome.
Just being categorized would put me off the deep end (Oh, he's one
of them!!?). It is just an intellectual construct that has meaning, only
if we accept it. But hey, shrinks gotta eat too ;o)
Bonne nuit and schlaft gut. 'Nuff said.
